Position Overview: Provides physical and general labor as it pertains to dirt construction. Assists in construction activities by safely performing tasks requiring a basic understanding of oilfield dirt construction operations.

Job Duties:

  • Furnishes labor needed to assist in construction of oilfield drilling pads and lease roads such as building wooden cellars; assists in installing cellars, cattle guards, fencing, etc., in all weather conditions.
  • Assists in manually loading and unloading material onto/from trucks at Company yard, well sites and other locations.
  • Drives Company vehicle between shop and various locations.
  • Uses appropriate hand tools as needed.
  • Uses shovels or other appropriate hand tools to move soil.
  • Operates backhoe as needed.
  • Trains and guides Roustabout IIs and IIIs.
  • Follows and supports all Pioneer HSE policies at all times.
  • Knows and uses appropriate PPE at all time.
  • Drives Company and commercial vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads.
  • Washes vehicles according to Pioneer standards.
  • Maintains all employee related paperwork, including time sheets, driver DOT (Department of Transportation) logs, trip sheets, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 2 years job related experience preferred.
  • Able to use hand tools.
  • Valid operator’s license with clean driving record or Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with clean driving record.

Position Overview: Carries out a variety of physical activities on the well servicing or drilling rig floor or elsewhere on the well site as directed by the customer or well operator. This is a safety sensitive position.

Reports to: Field Supervisor-Rigs

Directs Reports: None

Major duties:

  • Performs initial completions, remedial or downhole maintenance operations
  • Assists in servicing of gas and oil wells; transports rig and other vehicles to locations, rigs up/down, pulls/runs tubing, rods or casing
  • Assists in removing or installing well head and associated equipment
  • Lifts, attaches, installs, and works with matting boards and associated well equipment such as rod strippers, polish rods and pumps
  • Operates rod wrenches, tongs, elevators and other associated rig tools and equipment during well servicing operations
  • Assists with spooling or unspooling guy lines, placing and operating hydraulic jacks, and placing of emergency and safety gear
  • Maintains tubing, rod tongs and hand tools on the rig
  • Unscrews or tightens pipe, casing, tubing, and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs
  • Dismantles and repairs oil field machinery using hand tools and power tools
  • Cleans up spills
  • Keeps pipe deck and main deck areas orderly
  • Reports safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to rig operator or supervisor
  • Drives company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrains, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads as needed
  • May work in shop or yard as required
  • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of basic mechanical functions
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Basic problem solving and organizational skills
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks at same time
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Oilfield industry experience
  • Clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Position requires long periods of standing and sitting and the ability to work long hours if necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Typical working conditions and hazards:

  • Work is performed in all weather conditions
  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required
  • Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery
  • Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals

Job Typical Daily Activities Will Include:

  • Providing transportation to job site for crew
  • Providing training and development for roustabout
  • Use of vacuum trucks to clean sediment from tanks
  • Excavation of impacted dirt
  • Assemble and repair oil field machinery and equipment
  • Keep the site clean and clear of safety hazards, trash and debris
  • Loading pipe, separators and tanks with assistance of heavy machinery
  • Moving heavy equipment around the well site
  • Rig and sling loads being moved by the rig’s crane
  • Assist in providing a safe and hazard-free work environment

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated roustabout crew pusher experience
  • Experience in tank cleaning and vacuum truck operation
  • Must be willing to work overtime hours
  • Willingness to travel overnight to various destinations across the United States
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, CDL preferred

Position Overview: Construction, maintenance, modification and repair of company equipment.

Reports to: Fabrication Lead

Directs Reports: None

Major duties:

  • Performs diagnosis and repair on equipment and/or structure for problems in accordance with company and industry standards and safety procedures
  • Performs maintenance, repair, fabricating, welding, remodeling and construction on a variety of metal products from samples and sketches
  • Performs manual forging, shaping, straightening, sizing, dressing and heat treating of metal products
  • Operates acetylene acting torch, welding machine, mig machine, and grinders
  • Inspects and maintains equipment and work area ensuring a clean, safe and hazard free work environment and equipment in proper working condition
  • Keeps proper records of materials used and hours worked for billing purposes
  • Maintains and orders adequate stock of all necessary supplies
  • Inspects completed work for conformance to established specifications
  • Leads or supervises the work of other welders on assigned job orders as needed
  • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Previous welding experience with a minimum of one year experience
  • Must have certification or ability to pass a welding test
  • Ability to operate various kinds of welding equipment in a safe manner
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches and charts
  • Ability to work in a team environment and perform under all types of weather and physical conditions
  • Ability to interact with others and communicate effectively
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check

Position Overview: Blast variety of products.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Blast variety of products following procedures.
  • Preparation/masking for blasting and painting.
  • Assist Painter in handling and preparation for painting.
  • Maintain equipment and area in good, clean, safe and operational condition.
  • Prepare and follow required paperwork (i.e., paint logs, PO’s).

Job Requirements Skills/Knowledge:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English; simple mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to focus on specific jobs, follow instructions.
  • Team player.
  • Standing, walking, carrying, bending, lifting 50 lbs. eight hours a day.

Education: High school diploma/GED.

Experience: 6 months of field experience or related experience.

Position Overview: Action Energy Services is hiring Full-Time Experienced CDL Drivers in Midland, Texas.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the driver is to help meet the needs of customers by delivering and picking up equipment in a timely, safe and courteous manner as well as operate a variety of construction rental equipment if needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate tractor/trailer to deliver equipment to various locations, including deliver and return of trailer and all equipment on a daily basis.
  • Perform loading and delivering of equipment.
  • Deliver tools to vendors for repairs and picking-up repaired tools.
  • Delivering fuel to units in the field as required.
  • Delivering Frac Tanks and Acid Tanks as needed.
  • Performing inspection on assigned vehicle and trailers needed to deliver equipment safely on public roadways, ensuring all trailers meet DOT specifications.
  • Complete accurate driver log and submit on a daily basis along with other required documentation according to company guidelines.
  • Completing equipment return sheet when assigned to return equipment to a location/yard and obtaining sign-off by the dispatcher verifying the receipt of the returned equipment.
  • Maintain truck equipment/Inventory.
  • Ability to manage client/customer relationships; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively and professionally represent Action Energy Services at all times.


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid and current CDL drivers license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 6+ months of recent CDL A driving experience.
  • Must be able to meet the DOT medical standards as well as the physical demands of the position including (but not limited to); manually loading/unloading rucks lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Must have a safe driving record and be willing to submit to and able to pass, a pre-employment drug test, MVR check and criminal background check.
